The Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium previously known as Beausejour Cricket Stadium is named after legendary West Indies all-round captain Daren Sammy.
Daren Sammy was the one who took down the fallen Windies team and led them to win two T20 World Cups. One in 2012 and another famous World Cup was the 2016 World Cup.
So after his great contribution to the West Indies side Cricket West Indies tribute to him by changing the name of Beausejour Cricket Stadium to Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
