Cricket World Cup 2023 Record keepers and statisticians have been on the alert with so many records being broken in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
From single-inning performances to consistent great play over multiple seasons, teams and players have made their mark and set new standards.
Here are the most important records that will be broken at the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India.
Fastest CWC 2023 Century: Aiden Markram
There were several players who could have beaten Kevin O’Brien’s 50-ball score in that famous match in Bangalore in 2011 against England. However, it would be another 12 years and another trip to India before the fastest century record was broken.

Aiden Markram against Sri Lanka in the 2023 World Cup After hitting 14 fours by cutting gaps and 3 sixes to drive the point home, Sri Lanka had no answers, and Markram broke the record by one ball.
It’s not likely that Markram will be able to keep the record until the end of the 2023 event since 12 centuries have already been scored in 10 games.
Rohit Sharma and Kusal Mendis have already scored centuries off of 63 and 65 balls at the Cricket World Cup 2023. The event is expected to have a lot of high scores, even if the pitches get slower over time.

David Millеr played a particularly imprеssivе camеo, scoring 47 runs from just 28 balls. South Africa actually finished their innings at 428/5, the highest total in the 2023 World Cup so far.
The biggest Successful 2023 CWC Chase: Pakistan (345)
Pakistan got off to a shaky start, losing their first two wickets for just 20 runs. However, a 133-run partnership between Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan steadied the ship. Rizwan went on to score a match-winning century (116), and Pakistan eventually reached the target in 48 overs with 6 wickets in hand.

Rohit Sharma CWC hundreds (7) and most international sixes (556)
During his time as captain, Rohit Sharma made sure that records didn’t matter when his team played Afghanistan in Delhi. India beat Afghanistan by 272 runs, thanks to Rohit’s fast 131 off of just 84 balls. They won with 90 balls to spare.
As usual, the captain was both brash and calm at the crease, and he hit 16 fours and five sixes, fully setting the rules at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. With that hit, he passed Sachin Tendulkar as the player with the most cricket World Cup centuries.
As a comparison, Tendulkar set the record with 44 innings, but Rohit has done it in just 19 games and three World Cups.
With his five sixes in Delhi, Rohit now has 556 sixes in all three types of international cricket. He broke Chris Gayle’s record for most sixes in a single game.
Rohit got past the West Indies start in almost 80 fewer innings across all three types of cricket (472).
