Cricket Australia has announced their travelling reserves for Cricket World Cup 2024 and surprisingly Jake Fraser-McGurk who was left out of the main squad is included now in reserves. Jake Fraser-McGurk has been awarded due to his brilliant performance in his first IPL season. He scored quick runs there and made selectors think of him.
Even when the squad was announced many fans were expecting him to be included in the squad but he wasn’t able to make it. But now due to Fraser-McGurk’s high-level ball-striking abilities, he has been picked up by Cricket Australia.
The other reserve player is Matt Short who is an extraordinarily talented all-rounder. Chief selector Bailey said that he will provide a strong all-rounder spot cover for the World Cup and will get a lot of experience which will help him in future development.
But it is sorry for Steve Smith fans that he has not been included in the World Cup squad. Ashton Agar although he has not played any match since the last World Cup is recalled for the World Cup.
Australian cricket team led by Mitchell Marsh has now completed their squad player list for Cricket World Cup 2024 held in West Indies and the USA. Here is the complete list of their squad.
