Format of the 2023 Cricket World Cup
There will be a total of ten teams divided into two groups. Each group will contain five teams.
The top four teams from each group will enter the semifinals. The format is the same as the formats of the World Cups of 1992 and 2019. The matches will be played in a round-robin format, each team will play each other once. The winning team will gain two points after every win.
The top four teams from the round-robin will be able to play in the semifinals. A winner will be chosen from the top two teams in the ODI World Cup 2023 and will be crowned champion.
